Not new to chickens but my suburban raised wife and daughters are. They think I am going to do all the work...I got news for them.
Growing up we had chickens until I was about 10 or 11. All I can remember is trying to clean out the coop with a pitch fork. What a smelly mess.
50 years later ...
Got some land, live in the country, gonna try chickens. Been married 37 years, retired military, two daughters and two grand kids.
Building the coop and run right now. Love the suggestions on the forums. Also checking out the advice on breeds.
