Hi everyone. My real name isn't joe, thats just my favorite character from surfs up lol I am a newbie to raising chickens, but have took care of birds in the past. I have learned a lot on how to take care of them online. I noticed how much prefab coops cost though. Some super small ones costing 100's or 1000's of dollars. So I was wondering as well as some advice , if you guys think people would be willing to pay for homemade coops I make out of pallets . I will be a self employed scavenger after I save up enough for my truck. I resell pallets back to the manufacture. So I figured I can also make some more money on the side by selling premade coops or DIY kits for cheaper then people pay for other chicken coop plans and chicken coops. I am not sure about the price though.

yeah hopefully if my mother don't let me have chickens, we can find some land for sale and buy a trailer, then just put it there and have my chickens there and live there instead. :) It should be easy selling back to the manufacturer, because in my town we have a trucking depot that is always buying em being built soon

Hello and welcome from Ohio....so glad you joined BYC

Your coop building/selling idea sounds great. Build a few small ones and put a resonable price on them and see how it goes. I bet you will have all kinds of hits.

Good luck to you
