I forgot to say that I think this book is great for people just starting with chickens. The author raises chickens in Portland, OR. Like the other Storey publications, it is very informative.

Hi and thanks everyone.

Picked up 3 laying hens yesterday from a very nice lady I found on Craigslist. Already got my first egg!!

I am right in the city, close to downtown. Cleveland is great. So many people have moved out it is reverting back to rural.

Looking at goats and hogs next.
