Hi everyone, I am new here, and new to keeping poultry. We had chickens growing up but I never took care of them that was my moms job. Now I have 45 acres of land, and just this past weekend I got 15 chicks from Big R, then yesterday I went to get 5 ducks from a local poultry breeder (i guess thats what they are called), and also ended up coming home with a goose baby. So I decided to join this forum because something tells me that I am going to need some advice at some time or another. Well actually im heading over to the duck forum to ask a few questions right now, Glad to be in your community!

Thank you, I wasn't planning on so many I guess its that chicken math I have read so much about. I only wanted 4 or 5 chickens and 2 ducks. But then I saw all the baby chicks and my husband said go ahead and get 15. Then we were only going to get 2 ducks, but we ended up with 5 and a goose. And in addition to those I have a 2 year old, 3 dogs, and 4 cats. I have decided no more animals until next spring.
