Hi everyone,

Not only am I new to BYC chicken keeping, I've also never joined a forum of any kind before! I'm just going to thank you in advance for your patience (because I know I'll need it!

) as it is going to take me a little while to figure out the posting, picture-sharing, searching and replying.

I have just starting keeping backyard chickens, although they are technically still house chickens at five weeks old. Need to finish that coop and quickly! I have four EEs and two white silkies. My eight-year-old son and I have had so much fun with our chicks so far. We have lots to learn about this new adventure and are so glad that this forum exists.

I'm new here myself. We just started keeping chickens a few months ago and I am having such a great time with them(so much in fact that I just ordered a new batch of chicks).
