Hello everyone! I just wanted to officially introduce myself...since I have been "lurking" and reading all about chickens for the past couple of weeks. I live in upper East TN on about two acres. After a much anticipated wait, I am FINALLY getting chickens...I just have to decide what kind (welsummers I believe is the final decision) and from where. But regardless I hope to have chickens by the end of May.
No coop yet...my husband will be starting that one shortly. It is hard to decide what to do since there are soooo many options. I also have a huge garden (finally on that one too). I have two lovely black labs that keep me entertained (and busy!). It seems that the next thing to decide is goats or sheep (or both?!?!)!
Anyhow I just wanted to say "Hello" and I hope you all don't mind my million and one questions that I will probably be asking over the course of learning about chickens.
