Hello from England!

Yeah she loves them, I registered anyway, then if there are any illnesses that may affect my flock, they inform me, my daughter helps me clean them, feed and water them and collect the eggs lol, she gets so excited when she hears the egg song lol

New chapter in the story.... With a Buff Orpington on 6 eggs and a Silver Appleyard on a dozen, I have decided to have a back up plan and have made a home-made incubator which I am testing out today to see if I can keep humidity and temperature stable. I'm posting this chapter on the 'Hatching Today' thread so let me know if you find my thread there xx

addicted to the hatching days

I've just put some in an incubator (home-made) as there were too many eggs under my broody duck. My Buff Orpington lost two of her eggs yesterday and we replaced them but they were popped out again this morning and cold so I thought they would be no good to put back again so I left them out. I hadnt got my incubator set up then so I'm afraid they were lost for good.

My incubator is now on with 8 eggs (duck and a range of chicken breeds) and my fingers and toes are all crossed. I'm thinking that by next weekend there may be some pipping from the eggs under by Buff Orp.

I'm new to hatching so very exciting (and nervous!)
