We have decided to get laying chickens this spring. My husband says we'll get whatever kind of layers the feed store has! We are working on a chicken coop this week and it should be fun to have chickens around.

You should think about getting some colored layers too, they're always fun and there's plenty sources in WA state of them. I'm talking blue, green, olive green, and even deep chocolatey red eggs.
