I have had backyard chickens for over a year now... learning and growing as I go. Started out with 5, 3 RI and 2 Barred Rock. They were free-range until something got one of my RI. So my husband and I built a very large area for them on the back of our property. I have 7 13 weeks old. 2 black-sex links and 5 golden sex-links (3 of the gold ones will go to my daughter's once they're old enough to add to her flock.

) Your coop/run is beautiful, but if you have predators in your area, I would strongly suggest replacing either covering or replacing that chicken wire with hardware cloth as there are just too many predators that can tear through chicken wire, or squeeze through the openings in the mesh. It will add quite a bit of expense to your coop/run, but it will be cheaper than replacing your flock; not to mention the peace of mind it will give you knowing your flock is safe.
