Hello everyone. I'm completely new to the chicken idea. I've always wanted to raise chickens but never knew that we could where we live. After reviewing the ordnance (correct me if I'm wrong) in my area I see that residential property outside city limits may have 12 chickens. So, I'm in research mode now. I want to purchase three hens and start small. We found a chicken coop from MyPetChicken.com and think it will be a good fit. Tomorrow we'll go purchase some books and start reading. I'm hoping to can purchase three chicks this year but we don't want to be ready.
