My wife and I went to my High School friend's Customer Appreciation Day at his Feed store, we wanted to save $2 off of the dogfood we usually buy... she fell in love with some chickens (I forget what type they are). As she has wanted to raise her own eggs for the health and cost benefits (we have 6 kids), we purchased 5 chicks. the guy told us they would be all Black and a greenish tint to them. Three were larger chicks, almost all the "fur" is gone and replaced by feathers, and 2 tiny little 2-3 week old chicks. I have found the perfect coop plan, found a feeder plan here (the Pink feeder) and a good watering system... I have muuch work to do! We look forward to sharing successes with you all!
