Hello all, We are new to this forum and new to chickens! We are looking forward to starting! We live on a 5 acre farm. We have 3 horses, 2 dogs and a cat. I am a stay at home mom to one little boy and and all these farm babies. We dont have any chickens right now and we are currently in the process of building our coop. I am trying to do my research and find a good breed so we can fill our coop soon! I look forward to hearing from everyone especially those from Georgia! Oh i am also in Harris County, about 10 min from Callaways (Pine Mountain).

By the way, you might want to make plans to double your coop. People here tend to be enablers....I started off with 5 chickens and have close to 40 now. IT'S GREAT!
