Hello from Idaho

We have 9 adopted chickens, 3 new ducks, now ordered quail eggs and an incubator (grandson is stoked)! Trying to decide between an elevated pen or a full size enclosure for quail. We live in the woods so predators are nearby but have not been a problem (we have free ranging lab). I ordered 12 eggs so might do elevated and then connect a ground pen later...thoughts?

I like to keep my quail up off the ground...it's safer for me.
My dogs are not quail friendly.

I bring the ground up to them with lots of dirt pans for them to play in.
