I was born in Peoria, schooled in Pekin. Haven't been back since 1977. Still have kin in Pekin.

I have a silver laced wyandotte and a brown/black wyandotte? I'm not positive, but they look alike except for the different color lace. The chicken farmer I got them from told me what they were, but I was so overwhelmed by a pen with 600 chickens that I couldn't remember. It doesn't really matter anyway. They are pretty and fun to watch and giving me eggs. I got #2 today! If I get more, I'll pay more attention to what kinds I get. I had no idea there were so many different breeds of chicken!
