Just starting out. I just got a coop and will probably start with 3-6 chicks. My coop says up to 6 adults but it only has 3 nesting boxes.

Just starting out. I just got a coop and will probably start with 3-6 chicks. My coop says up to 6 adults but it only has 3 nesting boxes.

3 nesting boxes can handle 10 or 12 hens if it had to. I have had 4 with 25 hens with no problem but having a few extra is nice. I add a lot of nesting boxes in the chicken pens---not coop if needed. Its simple to do. Have Fun with your new flock.
