Hello from Indiana

Welcomee fellow Hoosier.

Mine put themselves up when it gets dark. All I have to do is go out and close the door.

My hens are quiet unless I have a broody and I have to do something with her chicks or nest.

I will post a link to a coop that you might like but it will be after I get done in class. I recommended it for my friend who has illegal chickens and you really can't tell what it is.

Thanks a ton! Is there any good site where I can read stories about having illegal chickens?

i've heard of people getting silkies (or some other "pretty" breed that doesn't scream CHICKEN) and calling them "rare african ground parrots" to get around the laws

that's right up my alley.

I am thinking of tons of general questions now- I'd better start a new thread...

from Alabama. I don't blame you, if we lived in town & chickens weren't allowed, we'd be illegal, too

You can try looking in the Local Chicken Laws & Ordinances section; a lot of people that are chicken outlaws have posted in there. Good luck with your "parrots"
