Just looking for like minded people to learn more.
I raised 3 black Australorp for the past 7yrs and decided to dive back in and get 10 more baby chicks this yr and ended up with 12
I have 10 4week old Black Australorps, 1 Easter egger 1 yr old & a 1yr old silky. (Got the 2 oddballs from a friend needing re-homing last week).
From what I've looked through this seems like a good community and I look forward to hearing everyone's methods & fixes and general conversation.

Hi, I just joined today, too, and everyone's been so welcoming! So much great info here, they've already helped me keep a solitary chick going until I could get some new flock mates for her. Wow, you're really into the Australorps! I have one blue Australorp chick now and a black Australorp pullet coming in June - may need to tap you for advice along the way. 😉 ☺️

Anytime.
This breed (for me) is the best, they are so docile and are a top Layer in the🥚 dept. They have a half acre to themselves but prefer to be everywhere I am when I'm out back. Just an all around good chicken. Tirns out I got a rooster mixed in this batch so we will see how this goes but have been hands in a lot with him so he doesn't turn out to be an a.....e like I've seen before. (My first Rooster)
