Hello, I'm new here but have gained a wealth of knowledge from you all.
I have a little flock of 6 old ladies, 5 pekin bantams and a white silkie. I hatched them in my kitchen about 8 years ago. There were more but I've recently lost a few...due to old age I expect. I've also homed 3 lots of ex bats but as I should have expected they didn't make old bones. They did enjoy their days of freedom and all survived a few years of retirement.
I also have 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 parrots as well as grown up twins and a long suffering husband so life is busy!
I've also just had 2 hatchings so have 3 3 day old silkies and 3 mixed houdan and silkie 17 day olds
Thanks to everyone for the great advice and wisdom here

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

Hope you learn all you need to and enjoy yourself in the process!
We are glad you joined this flock!
