I have been a chicken enthusiast for the last few years and have been trying to get out to the country so that I could start a little backyard chicken farm. Well I just couldn't take it any longer or wait any longer. I stopped by the farmers market in Belton yesterday and just couldn't help myself. I picked up two baby chics, wishing now I would of gotten 3 and still maybe will get one more in the next two weeks. Loving these little guys and can't wait till they get bigger. I am already forgetting what kind they are supposed to be, but they look as if they are EE's . I will post pictures to ask as soon as I learn how to use this site. Thanks!
Look forward to chatting with everyone!

Are you in the city of killeen?? I called today and they said where I live we can't raise chickens.
Any info would be great.
Thanks

Yeah, I am in Killeen and I am doing it anyway. If it becomes a problem I will give them to a friend or someone who wants them. I will play dumb. Hopefully soon in the next 6 months we will be moving out to the country near by. Only time will tell. :) All I can say is look at your zoning area, you just might be able to.

Shoot a friend in Harker Heights , there neighborhood has goats and other pets, lol. It's a nice neighborhood too.

Also, the man I met through the farmers market where I got them, lives in Killeen and says a lot of people he knows have chickens in Killeen.
