Hello from KY

Just joined! I'm researching info on raising chickens for mostly egg production and some fryers,and an added bonus, a learning experience for my young'n. During our recent Ice storm I borrowed a generator from a in-law and he gave us some fresh eggs.I havent had "fresh" eggs in years and now I'm hooked on the idea of raising my own. All I want to keep on hand is about 15 hens at most and maybe a couple roosters. As I've looked over this site I've found it to be very informative and look forward to any help I can get from forum members,thanks in advance.
