Like many others, I am registering after lurking for over a year. I got my first chicks a year and a half ago, that's about the time my addiction started!!

I have 2 RIR, 2BR, 2 EE, 3 Light Brahma, 3 SpS, 1 Silver Laced Wy. rooster, 1 Buff Orp., 1 unknown sweetie. I grew up on a farm but never had chickens until now. My husband & I, and our 4 boys live on the outskirts of the county on 1 acre surrounded by farmland. We are very blessed to live here and I am so thankful. BYC has been my main (only) source of info on this topic, and I appreciate all this site and this community have to offer. Thanks everyone!!

You have a nice flock, full of good egg layers. Nice your kids will have a chance to get to know chickens...they can learn so much from taking care of an animal and chickens are fun!

You have some nice breeds in your flock. You'll find a lot of us have flocks consisting of different breeds that took our fancy (And usually want to add even more breeds. Whoops, did I say that out loud?)
You might want to head over to the Pennsylvania Unite forum. You'll find there are a lot of members from PA and Lancaster County on it.
