We recently acquired 5 chicks a nearby elementary school hatched and then we hatched 5 chicks in a homemade incubator Tuesday morning! It was a crazy day and soooo fulfilling. And apparently little fluffy chicks are my kriptonite because I left the feed store with 4 more this morning haha. Eventually I hope to have 8-10 laying hens (no roosters since I don't want to get caught) so we'll see what the future holds for our little brood. I found the information on this website priceless when I was building my incubator so I thought I'd join now that I'm a proud chicken mama
Plus I have so many questions now!
And I'm a proud mama of actual children too haha. We have Leah who's 8, Davis who's 6, Grayson who will be 4 next month, and Whitney who's 20 months. They love the chickens will all their hearts
