We're in Pasadena - howdy neighbor!

Just an FYI - we brooded our chicks in our laundry room too (we got ours in January) and they go through a phase while growing their feathers when they put out ENORMOUS amounts of dust - it will coat everything in their general vicinity. I didn't mind cleaning up once they were moved out to their coop, but on the other hand I wasn't sorry to see them out of the house

. I've seen other people here mention that they'd brood them in a garage or other outbuilding, and I have to admit I'd try to find a way to do that if I had it to do over. Especially since the weather around here will be pretty warm when you get your chicks - just something for you to consider. Where are you getting them from?
