Hello from Louisiana

Hi everyone. I have been a member for a few weeks and just saw this thread and thought I would introduce myself. We live in the country and have always liked to have a small group of chickens. Five or six max. Just enough for eggs for us. Since I am now retired we have jumped into the deep end and now have 27 Red Sex Links 26 hens and one Roo. The roo is not a RSL. Somehow an odd one got in our order. I sent the hatchery a picture & they believe it is a Dark Cornish. Whatever he is, he is more than welcome.

. They will be 19 weeks old this Wednesday and we started getting eggs 2 days ago.

Other than chickens we enjoy working around home, camping and enjoying life to the fullest each and every day. We thank the Lord for each and every day.

Yes they are! Now up to 5. Might have to whip up an omelette in the morning.
