Hi good to see an aussie on here, did you find the chickens stop laying much over winter, I live in Tassie so It might be a bit cold I was almost going to buy eggs the other day! Was getting desperate, switched them to high protein 18% food and some one suggested I mash it with hot water, this seems to give me an egg or 2 a day, but still eggs are down. Im new to this site and fairly new to being a chook owner! So drop me a line and good luck with your new additions!
