I live with my DH, 2 DD, 1 GSD/Golden Retriever mix, and 1 Border Collie/Aussie mix. We live on 4 acres and I finally got my husband to agree to get some chicks! He's already drawn up plans for a coop and the girls are asking when we can start building

. I think we'll be getting our chicks this week, hoping to get from local hatchery to support our local small businesses. I have already found a lot of good info on BYC and look forward to learning more.

A little about me:
I love to read Christian Fiction, take photos, and scrapbook on the computer. I also love to spend time outside when the weather is nice (and it's just now starting to get nice here in MI).

Is there an area on the forum that is by state? Just curious to see who might be in the area

Check out the Michigan thread in the "Where am I, where are you?" section. There's LOTS of great folks there...plus, we have a chickenstock coming up in June. That's definitely an event worth attending.
