Hi everyone!
I started raising chickens about a year and a half ago and have been faithfully gathering knowledge and opinions from the experienced chicken lovers in this community. I figured it is probably time to join the fun!
I started with 12 chickens I grabbed up from TSC with my wide eyed children jumping for joy. I have only 6 of those original chickens and a year’s worth of lessons to go along with it.
I currently have 26 chickens! Chicken math, from what I understand
Barred Rocks, RIR, Easter Egger, Buff Orpington, Black Sex Links, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Silkies, Polish, and 5 mutts that I hatched myself.
My least favorite part about chicken ownership is sometimes having to dispatch the poor things. I usually spend the next few days sulking about it.
