Hello Every one!
I am new to this forum and am excited to meet you all and learn more about chickens! I am a stay at home mom and last October we bought and moved to my husbands child hood home. He has been busy working full time and also farming about 200 acres. Right now we have 5 hogs, 2 Blue Heelers, 3 tame barn cats, a bunch of feral cats, an African Pygmy hedgehog and as of this weekend chickens! On Saturday I brought home:
1 Barred Rock Hen
1 Buff Orpington Hen
1 Buckeye Hen
1 Russian Orloff Hen
1 Barred Rock Rooster
1 Golden Seabright banty Rooster
We really are happy with all of our chickens and my oldest daughter who is 10 loves our Russian Orloff so much she would like to raise some. BUT we are trying to figure out where to get them!
I look forward to getting to know you all better and I am going to have lots of questions about raising our chickens I am sure!
