I'm excited to be on here, every question I have ever had about my chickens have been answered just from searching backyard chickens! What a great place.

I ordered my first flock from Ohio in march and awaited them on pins a needles, of coarse my delivery date was in a snowstorm and I went to 3 post offices to tract themdown. I now realize my mail goes to. Different places and past my house 2 times before it ever makes it to my mailbox! I was prepared but still devastated when not all 15 chickens were alive, it appeared that 5 were not gonna make it butI jumped in to action and some how i brought 3 back, long story short I re homed 2 roosters successfully andI have 5 beautiful healthy hens ( 1 blue polish, one buff polish, 2 partridge cochrins, and 1 light brahma) i don't believe I will be doing the mail orders any more but I bought 6more chicks in June and they are (2 bearded buff polish, 3 golden laced polish and 1 I think..Jersey giant, and ended up with another 2 Roosters out of thebatch .
