I am new to small coop chicken farming! My grandfather raised chickens on a commercial scale his entire adult life (a top producer for Sanderson Farms 95% of the time)! I hope to make my small coop run efficiently as my grandfathers but with more individuality. One of my pets as a child was a chicken that followed me everywhere! After college I worked for over a decade before I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Life after RA has been a struggle and I have gotten to a place where I will be able to handle my coop & days that I can not I have a good friend I can call on to help with my coop. And my small rabbit farm(10 bunnies).

While it would be hard to match the efficiency of large operations, backyard farming provides so much more pleasure and healthy benifits. Hope you have a great time.
