Hello,
I live in Southwest Missouri with my wife and 5 month old son. I love chickens. I bought a home in town shortly after getting married and was told I couldn't keep chickens!!
I drafted a very modest ordinance which was actually a near mirror copy of the one adopted in Columbia Missouri. After much debate and several media interviews, the ordinance failed.
God never intended for me to live in the city anyway. Just the past week my wife and I purchased our new homestead. Two acres with a well and septic system, nestled back off the roadway. We will be leaving our 4 bedroom home, which we have completely renovated in exchange for a new life on our new homested. Living in an RV!
I spent many fun-filled summers living in an RV and I will have no troubles. We will see how my wife adjusts to the minimalist lifestyle.
I am also the inventor and owner of the Power Plucker. It is a drill-powered chicken plucker that is a very affordable alternative to the whiz-bang machines.
When I think of our new life in the country, I get the very MOST excited about getting a nice big flock of chickens established.
Love the site! Thanks for having me.
