Hello from Miyazaki, Japan.

Hello and welcome from Illinois in the U.S! I really look forward to seeing your pictures! I am sure your family is enjoying chicken duty- it's a great family activity.

I just wanted to let you know "Chabo" is a breed name of the chickens(Same as Japanese Bantam here) and "Chibi" means "tiny or small". So they are totally different words with different meaning. Noriko.

Welcome from California.

My wife and I have several friends living in or around Tokyo. A couple years ago we spent ten days there attending a wedding. We loved it and can't wait to return.

I truly hope you are spared the culling of your birds and look forward to pictures.

My daughter has lived in Itayanagi in Aomori-ken, Japan for several years. She loves it except for the average 19' of snow they get every winter. She is hoping to find a new job in the summer and move somewhere closer to Tokyo. She currently teaches English in the public school system.

Japan is a beautiful country and we hope to make another trip back there.

Chabo come with so many different types & colors. And some of them are here in the U.S. as Japanese Bantams lol They are so tiny & tame, really good for the kids too!

sgtmom52 : My mom's originally from Aomori-ken. She lives in Yokohama, Japan now which is right next to Tokyo, though.

Thank you!

So are there Chabo already in the U.S.? I guess I'll start by doing a search on BYC.
