(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My boyfriend and I got our first chickens on March 20th, so I am new to chickens and trying to learn as much about them as I can.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have two, Esmerelda and Vivian (which may be Vincent
).
(3) What breeds do you have?
Both of my babies are Dominiques.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I found BYC while I was searching for a chicken forum. I have been consulting the forum frequently over the past few weeks, and I have already received a lot of good information and help and decided that it was time to join and start contributing!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy shopping, reading, riding motorcycles, and taking care of all of my pets.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I recently graduated from UNCG with a degree in Archaeology and Anthropology, and am spending most of my time hunting for a job. I live in the country with my boyfriend Chris, 5 cats, 2 fish, a beagle, and of course 2 chickens. Next year we plan on adding 3 or 4 more chickens to our family, and I am interested in getting a Silkie and a rare breed.
