My name is Camille, Im married to the love of my life Al .My husband has lived in the city his whole life but always wanted to live in the country(His favorite thing to do is run off into the woods with a tend and fishing rod and not come back for a week XD. ) and Ive lived in the country and would like to make my way back.
We have 2.5 acres that has been offered to us by a friend to live on untill we can save up enough to buy 10-20 acres of land. All we need it to buy a fixer upper mini home, install sceptic and well and get a car and we would be good to go. I want to be there now really. I love the place. But sadly it will probably take us a year or two to pay off what we need and save up for everything.
Once we get there I want to have some chickens and other birds and some goats. Both my husband and I want a homestead.Try to be as self sufficient as we can. For now Im just researching and Making step by step plans on how to get to the country XD.
First two steps right now are to get my beginners renewed and our friend will be teaching me to drive in the city. He will be trying to get his friend over to clear the trees that need to be cleared so we can raise the land. Once the land is raised then its saving up to get a mini home. Then we can get the well sceptic and fix up our mini home. We are looking at fixer uppers around 5-6 thousand dollars so something that would need a good amount of work but wont break when we move it XD.
Big ambitions but Im 25 and I want to own land early.(Call me old fashionned but I want the husband and home. The kids not as much but the other two yes XD) My husband is turning 50 and he wants his country living sooner rather than later.
