Hello from New Hampshire.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Michael has left you a great link to check out for the learning centre. Lots of great articles to help you along the way.

Wishing you the very best of luck in the future and enjoy BYC :frow

Welcome to BYC!

What breed of chickens are you getting? If you have any questions, feel free to ask. There are a lot of knowledgeable and helpful members here.

Thanks for joining us!

Thanks for the welcome everyone

So far in the works I have a RI Red/Australorp rooster and pullet along with a RI Red/black copper maran pullet who have been separated into a beginner flock for me. From the same breeder - 3 Polish [unsexed as yet, as seen in pic]

4 Easter eggers being hatched. My neighbour has 6 hens for me that look to be Buff Orpingtons at a quick glance. [forgive spelling mistakes please]
I'm building a hoop house this week. Small to start with, but adding sections as needed. I checked out all the great info here and I think I'm ready to start learning!

Oh, I didn't draw the pic I use for my avatar...but I thought it was cute.

Pretty Polish, thanks for sharing the photo! Good luck with the hoop house.

Thank you. I'm originally from England so I'm having to get used to the fact that we have SO many predators here just sitting around waiting for lunch. My property backs on to 300 acres of conservation land. I don't want to provide the picnics! :)
My goal is to start small, but heavily protected and then increase run area.
I'm very grateful for the wonderful learning centre information. Particularly the DLM information. I would have been working WAY too hard. LOL.
I'm fortunate that the person who has got me hooked on the chickens is very knowledgable too.

Here's a little vid she sent me of putting my eggs under her broody silkie.
