My name is Wendy and I have 3 mature Isa Browns that we adopted 3 months ago, and 3 Hyline pullets that we bought 2 weeks ago.
I’m just at the beginning of my fruit, veggie and chicken raising adventures, and I am loving the very steep learning curve I am on. I’m trying to do a suburban backyard version of living the permaculture dream, integrating chickens into my embryonic fruit and vegetable garden.
I live in Melbourne, Australia with my husband and two young adult children and two dogs, and work full time in the city.
I found BYC while I’ve been investigating all the things you need to learn to care for chickens. I decided to participate because there is so much experience here and I want to get in amongst it!
