Hello!

I'm moving to Chaparral at the end of the month and as soon as I move I'm going to start getting chicken things ready.

We raised a flock of chickens one year when I was little and I remember how much fun it was. Looking online I see that we were pretty fairly information deprived though! So glad you guys are here and hopefully I'll have something good to contribute to the community!

I'm planning on getting a bunch of Dark Cornish chickens and harvesting up the roosters and keeping the girls around for looks/eggs/company. I like the fat buff orpingtons too lol - but it gets pretty hot here!

Profile pic is me holding a rooster that was given to me - it was 'eat it or the city of Rio Rancho gets it'! So he gave us a delicious soup
