Hi chicken people... we live in western New Mexico, have about 10 acres. Animals are two horses (quarter horse and a miniature) three dogs, four Rhode Island Reds just bought as chicks (pullets), a dwarf hamster and Guinea Pig. I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania and we had about any poultry you can imagine.. all types of chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese. I usually ate turkey eggs for breakfast.. one was usually enough. I am mostly retired, although I do build custom acoustic and electric guitars for people as well as teach guitar building and playing. I always I have always missed having genuinely fresh eggs so we added the RIR's... bought locally and told they were pullets (I only wanted hens) although I am getting suspicious of one of them... and this morning I craked an egg and found a small think that looked like a little worm, sort of white colored but it wasn't moving or anything so I just removed it and continued with making an omelet ...
Anyway I love chickens and airplanes...
