(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Finally fulfilling a decade long dream of having my own little flock! My girls are four weeks young and completely adorable!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Five
(3) What breeds do you have? I THINK we have: a black Sumatra, Dominique, Olive Partridge EE, Speckled Sussex, and a Golden Buff. This is what I ordered. I wanted a mix.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Learning about everything chicken!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, Gardening and always working on our property.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband and I are empty nesters with two dogs and an on going (never ending?!) fixer upper. I am a public school teacher.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC?

I have been reading articles and searching topics in BYC for about five years. Now I can participate!
Thank you!
