Hey all! My name is Carolyn and I am from NY. (Brooklyn originally, and moved out to Westchester back in 2003) and just loved the whole 'country' feel of life up here. I am the mom of 3 kids - 3.5, 2 and a newborn. I have 3 big dogs, 2 cats and a husband

I recently went back to school and am working toward my Vet Tech Licensing/Degree thru San Juan College On-line Distance learning program.

I am receiving 6 lovely day old gals on Tuesday (hopefully) maybe Wednesday... any advice? I will post a more specific issue I am having with my brooder lamp in the appropriate section thought. Looking forward to getting to know my fellow chicken-heads

and learn all I can!

Hi. I was born in Hornell but have been making my way west ever since. The babies can be a handfull, especially with an actual human baby

My new ones stay in the brooder for a few weeks, then get out to the laundry room for a few more, then out to the coop/run until they can fend for themselves against the big girls. Just keep them warm with lots of fresh clean water and food. Be sure to post some pictures of the new fuzzballs!
