Hi! I'm new here. We have 19 new baby chicks that just arrived in the mail.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We had chickens a few years ago, for about a year, until a coop fire took out our flock in the winter (bad heater set up that lit the bedding on fire
)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We have 19 chicks that just arrived in the mail earlier this week!
(3) What breeds do you have? We have some salmon faverolles, light brahmas, whiting true blues, whiting true greens, NH reds, RI reds, and a few types of polishes.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Free eggs and entertainment!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Raising my toddler and rock climbing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband, 15 month old son, and I live in the woods in NH with our 3 cats.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
