Hi, We just joined the BYC site. Have beeen "lurking" for a coupleof weeks. We have 4 chicks that are just over 5 weeks old (2 Barred Rocks and 2 NH Reds) and 4 new ones that are about 2 weeks old (4 Buff Orpintons). loving raising chickens so far! What a great site with fantastic information!

picks of our "flock" are below. 2 Barred Rocks, Lady Pecknpaw and Rockette... 2 New Hampshire Reds, Pikachu and Henrietta. We also just got 4 Buff Orpingtons , not named officially yet... but the lightest one is likely to be Princess Buttercup.

Buff orpingtons are my favorite breed! I have three and I just love them! Barred rocks are another favorite. And new hampshires are also great! They sure lay tons of eggs! Do your birds have names?
