Hello from NJ!

Hi && Welcome!!!

LOL i just love princesses! My cat's name is Jasmine, and when my sister saw my lightest color GSL she thought Goldilocks, and it just went from there!

I have a question, being a newbie and all. I know they won't be ready for their coop for a few weeks - the one we ordered just came yesterday. Haven't put it together yet, but I don't think it has a door at the top of the ramp into the coop. Do they need one? My husband suggested a plastic flap so they can go outside under the coop if they want. I was also thinking of attaching an extended covered run off the bottom of the coop (we will be elevating it a few feet). Any thoughts on doing that? I work during the day so the only time they would get to run around the grass would be in the evening and on weekends. Thanks - everyone here is so welcoming and nice! That is refreshing.

I was just looking at the coop I bought and now I'm worried it may be too small. Here's the link: http://www.chickencoopsource.com/ch...source=emlmktg&tid=email_747#pr-header-PPP123

I could not copy and paste a picture, but the dimensions are listed, and if you scroll down, someone that posted a review included a picture of it. The nest box is inside, which to me doesn't seem to give them much room to roost. It is amazing to me how much I am learning just from reading. So for 3 standards and 2 bantams, is it too small?
