My name is Amy. My family and I are new to chicken keeping. Our first 17 babies arrived on May 22, 2009 from Ideal Poultry. I received an assortment of Cochin pullets.
My husband will tell you that I do a lot of research about a subject before I
purchase anything. So for the past 2 years I have been preparing for the purchase of our chickens. I came across BackYardChickens when searching the internet. I found much needed information and even found a topic on Stall Dry that I use with my other animals. I did not sign up till now for my account with BackyardChickens till this week.
We have 2 Pygmy goats, 1 sassy cat, one Pomeranian dog and now 17 little Cochin peeps.

I will be removing the newspaper tomorrow morning. There is bedding under the newspaper now.
