So I got the idea to have Santa bring my little girl and boy some chicks for Christmas. I have spent the last week immersed in reading about how to take care of the little buggers. I built a brooder, got my supplies, and last night got the birds! I know that they will be "my kids" but I am so intrigued by them. I can totally see this becoming an obsession.

I had ducks for 5 years! then 7 months ago I got my first chickens,I can't believe I waited so long!!!! Chickens are sooooo fun and ADDICTIVE! they don't put that on the label
