New to Chickens, should have finished my chicken tractor yesterday but bearing froze in my saw, so now delayed.
thinking of getting a couple of Australorp. Just hens for eggs, no roosters. Worried about the summer heat here.

Welcome to BYC. Provide your chickens with fresh cool water with ice if necessary, chilled watermelon and/or cabbage. A fan blowing in their coop helps...high during the day and low at night and of course shade. All this worked for me in our record heat last summer.
