My name is Jeremy and I show and breed under the name of Trost Poultry. I have been raising poultry since I was in 6th grade, and I am now 35. My Grandma bought me my first chickens and that is where it all started!
I have Lamona bantams that I started re-creating in 2001; they are my pride and joy. Unfortunately I am not really in a position to share them yet. I also keep some Sumatra bantams, Columbian & Partridge Wyandotte bantams, and a pair of Phoenix bantams.
I attend many shows and swaps in Wisconsin and my poultry friends continue to beg me to start showing outside of the state. With my job it is very difficult to do that. I also do alot of volunteer work with 4H and I give many chicks away each year to all interested youth. I love so much to see their smile when I give them a free chick.
I also enjoy gardening and I am trying to create a cottage garden that is packed with a wide range of colors and plants. Plus I am addicted to my birds, I also keep an aviary of various finches, a lovebird, and parakeets. There are also 2 cats wandering around the house right now.
