Hello from Northern California!

Hello!

After reading endlessly on the forums here, I finally jumped in and brought home 6 chicks from our local feed store yesterday, and could not be more thrilled!

We have:
1 - Welsummer
1 - Dominique
1 - Partridge Rock
1 - Rhode Island Red
1 - Black Australorp
1 - Buff Orphington

I'm also a mom to twin 2 year old boys, stepmom to a 5 year old son and 10 year old daughter, have a great husband, a cat, and a full time job. We're based in Arcata, up in good old Humboldt County in gorgeous Northern California.

Welcome to the forum! Glad you joined us. I lived in Arcata for 7 years....did high school there.

That's a nice assortment of chicken breeds. I'm sure you'll love them. Just remember to build your coop a bit larger than you think you need, because you WILL want more in the future.
