Hello from northern Colorado

Hi there, my name is Lisa, my family and I moved to CO from Florida last August. We've purchased a few acres and are moving to our new house on Friday. For many years we have wanted our own back yard flock but always lived in uptight communities where farm animals are frowned upon. Now we can do whatever we want, so we went to a store and got some chicks 2 weeks ago! The plan was for 5 chicks but somehow we came home with 9. We now have 2 black sex link, 2 golden laced wyandottes, and 1 each barred rock, marans, rhode island red, buff orpington, and ameraucauna. First order of business after we move is to build the coop and fence in their yard.
