Hello from Northern Nevada

Hello everyone. I had chickens growing up so when my daughters asked to get chickens I said yes. So I am a chicken grandma to two white silkies, two ameraucanas, and a golden sex link. I am in the process of converting a shed into a coop. I will probably have some questions about that as I'm not terribly handy.

Ventilation is a must up by the roof is best is it wood or plastic shed or ?

It is an old metal shed without doors. It is in the shade and on a concrete pad.

Welcome to BYC! Here, where it's so hot, I'd just make, and add two hardware cloth covered doors to the opening. That might be an option for you depending on how large the shed is.

You would need metal bits to make ventilation holes @Challey.
